Need help with setup, workout logging, Apple Health, Apple Watch, or a training plan? Email Jacobberko5@gmail.com. Please include your device model, operating-system version, and what you were doing when the issue occurred.
Getting started
- Complete setup with your schedule, available equipment, movement limitations, training experience, goal, and current lift numbers.
- Open Today and start the recommended workout.
- Log weight, repetitions, and reps in reserve for each completed set.
- Finish the workout so it counts toward your history and the next weekly adaptation.
How workout plans adapt
The current release builds and adapts plans entirely on your device. It uses the profile and lift information you enter, then considers completed sets, repetitions, load, and reps in reserve when deciding whether to progress, hold, or reduce a movement. Loads do not automatically increase every week.
A lift marked “calibration required” does not yet have enough information for a starting load. Use the first session to find a controlled weight within the prescribed repetition range, then log it.
Apple Health
Health access is optional. If a completed workout is not appearing in Apple Health, confirm that Earned has permission to write Workouts in Apple Health or iOS Settings. Workouts completed before write permission was granted are not automatically backfilled.
Revoking Health access stops future reading and writing. Deleting Earned does not delete workouts already saved to Apple Health; remove those separately in the Health app if desired.
Apple Watch
If the Watch app has no plan, keep the paired Watch nearby and open Earned on iPhone, then request or resend the plan. During a Watch workout, heart rate and active energy require the relevant Apple Health permissions.
If sync is delayed, open both apps once and confirm Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are available. A completed Watch-started workout should appear only once in Apple Health.
Live Activities
A Live Activity begins when you start an active workout on iPhone. If it does not appear, check that Live Activities are allowed for Earned in iOS Settings. Lock Screen and Dynamic Island availability depends on the device and system settings.
Starting over and deleting data
Use You → Run Onboarding Again to revisit setup. You can delete individual sessions from workout history. Deleting the app removes its local profile, plan, logs, and settings from that device. Workouts saved to Apple Health must be deleted separately in the Health app.
Requirements
- iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.
- Apple Watch running watchOS 11 or later for the optional Watch app.
- An iPhone that supports Live Activities for Lock Screen and Dynamic Island workout updates.
